I actually like these kind of Ghibli animations. They are visually a feast and have cute likable protagonists and a lovely storyline. I wouldn't say the story was bad but I wasn't waiting for again another love story between two high school students which I found quite boring and overlong. Besides judging on the cover I thought the movie would had much more fantasy moments. It only had a couple of minutes for a lengthy duration of 105 minutes. I must say Castle in the Sky, Kiki's Delivery Service and Ponyo had a lot of cuteness too and a much more interesting story than this one and more fantasy as you would expect from a movie with this premise.
