Enright Goes Undercover
10 March 2015
John Schuck as Commissioner McMillan's aide Sergeant Enright goes undercover in this one as himself. I should say that he 'retires' from the force and goes to work for a private detective agency headed by Don Porter. It's a case, someone has been blackmailing a lot of politicians and it all seems to be coming from the confidential files amassed by this firm. Porter has files on everybody, probably the best selection of them this side of J. Edgar Hoover.

But Schuck's undercover is one with a few safety nets because he'll need them. He's not the only undercover. It also gets deadly serious when one of the blackmailed politicians is murdered and it's made to look like a suicide attempt.

The investigation centers on the four top men at Porter's firm. John Vernon, Graham Jarvis, and James Olson, not to forget Porter himself. Whoever is doing this has considerable resources behind them and won't be easy to take down.

A good collection of cast members including Meredith Baxter Birney as Sgt. Enright's girlfriend and Murray Hamilton as one of the politicians make a great ensemble.
