Romance with a feel of a fresh breath of air......
10 May 2016
I first watched "Maine Pyar Kiya" when I was 6-7, and still I've the remembrance of the movie as a childhood memory. Still I like this film and hop to some of the nice sequences. It's not that the story is very different or mature; but the treatment with which it's presented makes it special. '80s when the movies used to be of low budget or full of action or explosions, this movie creates a retreat to the audiences bored of the same formulaic movies. The film does have villains and fight sequences, but the goodness of the film overshadows the weakness. The speciality of the film is its innocence and beauty with which the romance is blossomed. The sets, background score, music all contribute to the beautiness of the film. Still every song of this film remain sweet. The performances of the new comers Salman Khan and Bhagya Shree give a freshness to the movie. Their innocence just get deep inside. Besides, special mentions should go to Alok Nath, Rajiv Verma, Reema lagoo, and Mohnish Behl for their lively supports as character artists. Overall, "Maine Pyar Kiya" is one of the most beautiful movies of Bollywood, which saw a wide success for a genuine reason, and proved good movies succeed rather than the big star studded blockbusters.
