There are four episodes, which constantly repeat the few facts that are found by the investigator, certainly he never arrives at an answer as to what actually happened to Carole Packham probably because the only person who knows, Russell Causley won't tell.
It isn't the story however that is at fault, it is the way the 1 hour episodes are padded out to extend the series into 4 episodes. It would have been a very good 1 hour programme, perhaps 90 minutes.
