Good art film well directed based on Punjab state during the turbulent 80s. The film is worth watching specially for students of this period. Not perfect and at times it seems to be 'slow' and a touch pretentious. Yet there is no denying the effectiveness of some scenes- an early encounter with 'terrorists' is realistic and ominous. The film strives for balance yet suggests its viewpoint without being overbearing.
