The dubbing ruins it

Warning: Spoilers
THE CURSE OF THE DRAGON SWORD is an indie wuxia film from America, heavily influenced by the old kung fu films of the 1970s. There's an arid desert landscape, a character dressed like David Carradine in KUNG FU, and various young beautiful but deadly women. A little action complements the plot. The main problem I had with this is that it appears to have been shot silently with the dialogue dubbed in - very badly, I might add - afterwards. I suppose this was done in an intentionally cheesy way to recall the old grindhouse-era kung fu movies, but the effect is embarrassingly amateurish here.
