This is an ensemble comedy not crediting the great Jackie Gleason crediting the great Betty Grable, Carmen Miranda, Charlotte Greenwood, Cesar Romero, Harry James and Edward Everett Horton. The dance music of the big bands plays in two countries as the eight big names do comic routines standard of the era. A marvelous memory of what the forties were like and in many ways a bit of senior citizen nostalgia today preserved in technicolor for the younger to know wha life was like during world war two.
