I watched this movie over a week ago and I have thought about this story and the characters every day since. The end killed me and left me wanting more...from what actually happened in the air between Matthew and William to what Daniel was going to do with his life now that he had left the Navy. But that's not what really hit my nerve. What I can't shake is the fact that there are countless men and women who have expierenced persecution in our armed forces. I never actually knew how bad it was and is for them (I had just heard about "don't ask, don't tell as a kid) and this movie has left me with a better understanding and a new found respect and support for out LGBT service men and women.
