Started Strong and went downhill from there

This film started out amazing. I loved the characters, especially Hildy Johnson and Bruce Baldwin, and I loved what she was standing for. I didn't quite care for Walter Burns, but I think that was Howard Hawks intention. Although during that time period women were trying to rise in the work force, it wasn't for everyone. Or even if it was, many women still wanted a family. Hildy felt mistreated by Walter and I agreed with her decision to get a divorce. Now she found a great guy, a gentleman which can be hard to find, and she wanted to marry him. She wanted someone who showed they cared about her. Then it went downhill for me. The viewer could see the passion in her face about journalism, Rosalind Russell did a very good job expressing her character, but it was possible to do this if she moved to Albany as well. But in the end Hildy and Walter hurt Baldwin and his mother, and neither of them had any remorse for what they did. The ending wasn't one I enjoyed, and I turned out very much disliking Hildy.

Putting the plot aside, I think this was a very well representation of how press got their news, fake or not. They didn't have the technology that we have today, and they had to do a lot more footwork than they do today. It also showed how some were passionate about this and wants to get the truth, good or not out, and then you saw next to them how they didn't care if the story was real or not, just as long as it was good. Mixed in was a little bit of politics which holds true for today as well, that there are some corrupt politicians out there and only look out for themselves. I give this movie a 6 out of 10, because it was well made, but I didn't particularly like how the good guy got the short straw.
