I lived this film. The actors did a great job with bring the message to life. There are sub plots to the story that are very strong. James Cagney does an excellent job of playing Ricky Sullivan. Along with his co-actor Pat O'Brien who play Jerry Connolly, they both take us on a journey of their friendship. And the respect they have aeven though they chose different paths in life. Though Rick Sullivan was considered or could be the bad guy of the story, his ability and influence that he had on the group of young thugs can't be denied. The story is well
