Ice Princess (2005)

A very nice family film!

There are plenty of life lessons, for both adults and kids. And the acting is good, led by an endearingly sweet lead who convincingly transitions from gawky to self-assured as she starts to get some answers to her own questions about life and the right path for her. She is also very graceful on the ice, which along with her years of experience on the pond and the application of her computer studies lends credence to her remarkably rapid evolution on the rink. The result is that even as one knows one's buttons are being expertly pushed by the Disney writers, one is sufficiently engaged in the main characters to become emotionally involved in the outcome.
