A complete curio now, even minus 25 minutes of it's running time.

Warning: Spoilers
A faded, grainy print, shorn of nearly three reels, is what seems to remain of this Monogram musical that is memorable for its CREW races and the shirtless muscle men who row the boats in these exciting sequences. However, the plot is fairly light, dealing with the titled sweetheart (Mary Carlisle) who has dated pretty much everyone on campus and finally finds true love with the athletic Buster Crabbe who wants nothing to do with her. Of course her aggressive but sweet nature when's him over, but will she be able to be true?

Having passed away several months ago at the age of 104, this is a curiosity in the career of Mary Carlisle who was a busy actress in light musicals and comedies of the 1930's. Olympic champion Crabbe, having stirred things up in the Paramount pre-code comedy "Search For Beauty", is just fascinating to look at from an 85 year old film for his athletic build and charm. Fellow athlete Charles Starrett plays an important supporting role and somewhere within the mix is a young Betty Grable as a band singer. There are three songs, including the title tune, but hopefully someday a full print of this will be discovered one day.
