Two episodes in and I'm intrigued

Warning: Spoilers
I'm interested in seeing where this show goes. The lead is young and still figuring things out regarding her inherited psychic gift. She's a functional adult, but she has issues. Only two episodes have aired so far, so obviously a lot hasn't been explained yet. How things unfold will determine whether this series becomes a must-watch or ends up a predictable groaner. Most great series need some time to find their feet and any series that explains everything in the first episode is pointless, so I'll keep watching.

Things I appreciate so far:

1. In the Pilot, Cassie helps the spirit of a young girl that's "haunting" her. At first I thought, how typical. However, I appreciated the twist that she did this not by helping the girl find peace in forgiveness for what happened to her, but by helping her find revenge by haunting her abuser/murderer.

2. It's set in Seattle and I appreciated the fact that it wasn't raining all the time, nor was it constantly sunny - both of which would be unrealistic.

3. I like how her psychic episodes vary. It's not just straight up This Is What Happened or Is Going to Happen. Some of her episodes involve the victim, some involve the perpetrator. Sometimes she's seeing what happened/is happening from the subject's perspective, and sometimes what she sees is more metaphorical.

4. I appreciate the diversity of cast. Some criticize that it's too stereotypical, some complain that the liberal agenda is being forced down our throat (how dare they portray a gay couple who just act like normal people in a typical committed relationship?) But I'm just thankful to see a variety of people acting out normal lives (well, apart from the psychic angle and the fact that every episode contains danger and drama.. it IS a tv show after all!) The only true stereotypical casting that caused an eye-roll from me was the lead being a blonde white girl. However, I think she's doing a great job in her role, so I've moved past the casting director's choice.

I know personal taste plays heavily into how one enjoys a show so sometimes reading reviews is pointless, so for anyone reading this here are a few other shows I've enjoyed that might help you decide whether my taste might align with yours: Bones, Sleepy Hollow, iZombie, Supernatural, Criminal Minds
