Had The Makings of A Good Series! Becoming An Epic Fail!
10 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Only time will tell if it gets there. But, this show has the makings of a good series. It's got the heart and the action. What it over does it on are the flashback scenes. Way too many of those. Sometimes it takes a few seconds to decide whether something is happening or if it's just another flashback. They need to calm that junk down and keep it to one or two flashback scenes per episode. To me, it seems like a loosely based remake of the old Rockford Files series. I had taken a 'blind eye' to the stereotyping of the Indian Chief in the first episode because I thought it was a one time thing. Then we had this weeks episode where the chief was protecting a wife beater because he was "good for the tribe". She only stopped protecting him after she found out he was dealing drugs, which is the only line her character won't cross. Being part Native American myself, I find it revolting and have removed a star from my rating. It amazes me that they make every other coupe on the show interracial AND STILL use 1970's stereotypes for the Native American parts.
