I truly love Forged in Fire! I'm well aware that it's "sensationalist TV," what with all the brutal tests, and unrealistic time frames to forge weapons. (They seem to have cut down on time allotments, just to make things more "exciting," which they shouldn't have done.) But it's a great show for the sheer enjoyment of seeing an ancient craft kept alive, as well as how much they honor both America as a whole, and our amazing military personnel. I watch every week, and I always enjoy it immensely, with one exception-J. Neilson. He's an awesome guy, and a great bladesmith (ABS and all), but I MUCH prefer the episodes where Ben replaces him as judge. It's simple, really-J has had several hand surgeries, and he is constantly getting injured during testing. I think the show would be more enjoyable if J would leave permanently, not because I dislike him, just because he keeps hurting himself. (This is only my opinion. Also, Ben has a better personality, and we've seen him win twice. His skills are incredible, IMHO.)
