The Girl in the Photographs (2015)

Not your typical slice and dice

Violence isn't predictable and in the real world it is chaotic and random. The good people don't always win. The virgin isn't always the "final girl." This movie demonstrates that convincingly. The acting is very good, especially Kal Penn's depiction of a spoiled, self-obsessed LA hipster photographer. Direction is adequate. The music is excellent. This film leaves you a little confused and disoriented. Great to see something different in the slasher genre.
