This might have been more tolerable with better SFX. As it is, the unconventional narrative gives the viewer the impression that this is a meandering nonsense, a fever dream posing as an art film. I was disappointed because I had been impressed by this director's "Chocolat" years ago. But that was long ago and so very far away from this film.
