Okay, so there is a shell of a plot line here, but there is so much else going on that really doesn't involve the plot that the story is almost an afterthought. For the first Tailspin Tommy movie, we are given background on his past and his hero worship of another pilot that takes up a good real of the film. By the time we get into the story which deals with kidnapping of Tommy to get his bombing location device, the audience has either already tuned out, started looking at their watch or ventured out to get a snack. It is not a good way to start a series, and fortunately, there were better entries in it than this one. The players, led by John Trent and Marjorie Reynolds, do their job as required, but the resulting boredom that comes out of this film makes it a near fiasco.
