Review of The Order

The Order (2019–2020)

[4.5] Werewolf diaries in brainless form

You start a series with expectations, ready to give it a chance, whatever genre it represents. In this case, a supernatural one; well, so far, halfway through season 1, all I saw was an atroce screenplay and storyline with some teen and adult insect characters lurking around and filling the episodes up in the most awful fashions. A blend of raw prehistoricly-felt events coupled with modern stuff, like cell phones and cheesy messages, one after the other, as fillers, then some mindless conversations, again as fillers, and the list goes on...

Usually, I don't show such harshness, but in the case of The Order, viewers soon find out that there is nothing to root for, no acting, no real story, no quality, no nothing, let alone the fateful ending that's expected to be terrible. It is just a shallow, hollow sets of pictures weaved together with some cute girls and guys.

It probably has appeal to teenagers with raging hormones and a love for supernatural. I understand that and won't judge them. Everybody was a teenager once. They will soon grow up, look back at this show, the sensations they felt and smile gently at their younger self.
