The movie plot is good, the acting is great for late 90s and even for Portuguese movie. some good quality production.
its about a boy (son) and his crappy mother who left good husband who broke after his bike stolen. so son tries hard to earn money to buy bike for DAD , so the family could be together.

movie gets stupid after half of it , when his dad suicide because of broken heart . Because when son tries or lies to dad that mom still likes n have feeling, so he got hope. but when wife confront him about son disappearance , she insult him infront of son n everyone. which broke his heart n commit suicide.
after that the movie really gets stupid. i really thought that son will find his mother doing prostitution one day because financial problem also she dumped her lover too.
but anyhow, why i dont like the ending ? .. because son liked his dad and his dad because of his mother. and he hates her mother because his mother also having multiple men... but in the end.. he forgot all and back to mother ?...
i wished he could left the mother in the end after he got better job . because he lost a brother n dad . which could made the mother regret her life decision.
