Review of Scrooge

Scrooge (1935)
7/10
More British than latter versions.

The 1935 A Christmas carol is one of the best, but it has a different feel than the latter versions. Every version has it own differences. And the 1935 one's special effects are classic golden age bare. Beside that it is well acted like all the early versions are up until the 1990's versions. If you could get past the primitive effects, this Scrooge is up to the task and is a great lesson in early film history, when the acting was more important than the effects.
