Defining a Character
20 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Throughout my days as a kid I watched a lot of dragon ball episodes my dad got me into the series when Dragon Ball Z Kai came out and I loved the show it was fun and brought me lots of excitement then when the cell saga ended I found out the majin buu saga existed and while it did have problems I still loved the show it brought a kid name goku who was courageous, fearless, and very strong while he personality was goofy and kid like he still was able to get serious at times and that's what I loved about goku and then gt came out which while had flaws as well the special to me didn't by the time of watching dragon ball super I realized that goku has basically done everything and there was nothing for him to do and that's where this special hits it's a new character who is the opposite of goku nothing like him in fact he was scared and a crybaby but that's the thing he ain't goku he's his own person he has too much to live up to that people don't understand they just see dragon ball and expect action fights but that's not what this special was it was a story of a boy growing to warrior trying to live up the expectations given to him and live under his grandfather name as we see him realize himself who he was and how courageous he really is and this special hits hard for a fan to realize that this special is defining goku and who he was and what's different from goku jr and him.
