Warning: Spoilers
An ex-Marine turned teacher struggles to connect with her students in an inner city school.Within a week, she got an entire classroom of "unteachable" punks to respect her...trust her...and even admire her. That was the easy part.

She Broke The Rules fighting the system in LA because nobody cared for these students who were unteachbable ... And Changed Lives in school teaching poems and real life the school circulary isnt their choice or working she chose how to be not victim in her class room she gets how they click they get her by giving them a on there grades a the start they just have to keep it how to get them relating how poems relate in their lives. The entire movie deals with LITTLE, REAL, EVERYDAY problems and not with the big issues of life and this is probably why this movie was summarily discarded as being second rate. But when we consider how children consider and perceive our world nowadays, it's exactly what they expect us, the adults, to do as well. Sometimes, there are families who don't support their children and teachers often become the ones who can make a difference. The ones who can recognize their existence, be light, be the "Mr. Tambourine Man". Regardless of the intervention of teachers / family, the kids will find a way, a path ... whether it thriving or declining. So ultimately, it is up to the teachers to help them make the choice of going on that bus instead of staying on the outside.

As for Coolio song "gangsta's paradise" I must say that, for me, music is just music, we can fit it in different genres, It punches above its weight 7/10
