Sacrifices one has to make in the name of love. For me, what the film is trying to to convey is that the circumstances in the story are just so real. It can happen especially in places where there's no legal recognition of same sex union. If you are you someone who are nursing a broken heart for whatever reason can really make you melancholic in a way. Acting wise, its not over the top, just the right amount of pink salt here and there. I like the light-heartedness in the scene where he asked his mother in law if she really is in pain. And the boy, (Yo Yun) was on point, and mind you, he's just a little boy in real life. Anyway, after watching the movie, i sang this song "Kiss today goodbye And point me toward tomorrow We did what we had to do
Won't forget, can't regret What I did for Love".
