Once and Again (1999–2002)
7/10
Very down to earth and underrated drama.

It's a shame the page as well as the whole internet, is plagued by the Kate/Jessie obsession. They only appeared in season 3, and for eight episodes, out of sixty three. Enough already. The focal point is two divorcees trying to cope with their new living situations, alongside their respective families. At least season 1 is. It's not much of a spoiler, to say that they end up together. And the rest of the seasons, are about them building a new home together. Kids are played by more or less known actors like Shane West and Evan Rachel Wood. And the « adults », are all regulars from movies and TV shows, made before and/or after the series. I used to watch this show when I was younger, and am currently catching up on it. It's very well written, with great acting and has that intimist tone, that was so popular back then. Which gives the storytelling a special touch, when you get into the characters heads through their confessions and inner thoughts. I can't say it's without its flaws, and it can be a little too intense sometimes. Only it's a real pity it was so poorly received and is now almost forgotten, and never posted on any legal streaming channels.
