Charming and sweet, but ultimately the journey doesn't reach anywhere

Warning: Spoilers
It's a nice little film, with 2 charming young men, witty dialogues, beautiful scenes and smooth editing. It's definitely worth a view, if you want something calm and nice without being overtly sweet or dramatic.

But usually a road movie is supposed to be more than the physical journey. It's often a metaphor of an internal trip too, to find something different, an answer, an insight... so by the end of the journey, to reach somewhere, different from where the character started. 'The Man with the Answers' doesn't give you that.

Victoras has lots of things stuck in him about the diving career that didn't give him the freedom of flying he had desired, his mom who left him, loss of grandma, uncertain future in the still shaky Greek economy. Yes, Mathias does coax him out to slightly different routes, an odd stop at a lake or a random wedding... but they all remain ambiguous as does their relationship. Realistically Victoras' problems will remain whether he choose to go back to Greece, stay in Germany with his mom or Mathias... So ultimately this journey doesn't reach anywhere other than little outings and change of scenes.

A couple of technical issues; one, characters' lines are difficult hear buried under the ambience noises or music. Two, I've never met a German so witty and charmingly crazy. Unrealistic!
