Joker (2016) : Brief Review -

A political satire turned into a devastating and heart-wrenching drama to give the tightest ever slap on System's Face which includes President, PM, Courts, MLAs and Audience. Joker sounds like a fun film from its title and some even think of it as a satire to give a lecture on system but you're wrong. Trust me, Joker is as much devastating as funny its title sounds and it will wrench your heart like no other satire ever. Mannar Mannan, an ordinary villager, decides to call himself the president of the country and starts fighting against the injustices he comes across in his society. What's his agenda? His past story opens some heartbreaking incidents caused by pathetic system of our country which includes everyone right from the local police to MLA to High Court to Supreme Court to the President of India. Here's a scoop for Bollywood audience, Joker is combination of political Satire+SLB's Guzaarish+Akshay Kumar's Toilet Ek Prem Katha. Watch it and you'll understand what i mean. Joker is a terrific piece of writing, something which needs to be done without fear. My grand salute to Raju Murugan, the writer, for such a daring script and a big kiss for directing the film without any compromises. That Toilet Opening Ceremony Scene should be preserved in Library of Cinema. I haven't seen any such powerful film in the entire decade. How smartly he has written it. At one side someone is bearing the most painful situation of his life and at the same time MLA, Police, President of India and Media are busy celebrating a FAKE Success. TERRIBLE but INCREDIBLE! Everything about this film is natural, realistic and hard hitting, from the performances, dialogues, romance, presentation, cinematography, sets to direction everything. To make our Country powerful and progressive, Joker MUST be shown to the President, PM, Ministers, Police Officers, Judges of SC HC, Civil Services Officers and us Audience who just watches our pathetic system as an audience and says nothing.
