John Shuck's Bio described his part as inept. My recollection of his part is that whenever McMillan had an idea of what to look into to solve the crime, the sergeant had already done so, and had the required information. I and my wife actually met him back in the 1980s at a cafe in small village bordering Lake Arrowhead. A really nice guy.
