. . . and GOOD WILL TO MEN is World War Two's Gold Standard. GOOD WILL, a remake of PEACE ON EARTH, improves the original by at least 200%. However, without WWII, GOOD WILL would not have been possible. Humanity's End involves an implausible double-fatality duel between two random guys toward the close of PEAS ON EARTH. However, this apocalyptic scene is much more convincing with the intersecting nuclear blast clouds concluding GOOD WILL. Furthermore, PEAS ON EARTH offers way too much "comic relief" for its sober subject matter. Though PEAS briefly pictures a bombed-out church, such ruins serve as the perfect setting for ALL of GOOD WILL. Additionally, a crowd of church mice are far more poignant that PEAS ON EARTH's single squirrel family, ant they're much better singers, to boot.
