The ennui at the heart of white collar clerical employment in 1960s Italy unfortunately bleeds into this film about it. How else to account for the first thirty, deadening minutes in which it is established that the main character hopes to be employed in a large corporation and meets a female co aspirant that he likes? 'Fraid I pulled the plug at that point. Give it a C.
