Look Again (2011 TV Movie)
6/10
Entertaining mystery thriller...
15 November 2021
For a TV movie, then this 2011 mystery thriller from writer Douglas Soesbe and director Jean-Marc Piché titled "Look Again" was actually rather good. Well, at least I did enjoy it.

I happened to stumble upon "Look Again" in 2021, by random chance. I had never heard about the movie prior to watching it, but seeing that the movie starred Morena Baccarin, I just had to sit down and watch it.

And I am happy that I opted to sit down and watch "Look Again", because it turned out to be an entertaining mystery thriller. Sure, writer Douglas Soesbe was playing it safe and running on all familiar tropes seen in other similar mystery thrillers, but it worked out well enough in favor of the movie.

The storyline told in "Look Again" was actually entertaining and enjoyable from start to end. And I will say that writer Douglas Soesbe actually managed to pull off a who-did-it mystery well enough, as the storyline hints at different subjects all throughout the course of the movie. So that was rather enjoyable.

The acting performances in "Look Again" were good, and it was nice to see Morena Baccarin in a movie such as this. While I wasn't familiar with Paul Christie (playing Mike Caldon), Sadie LeBlanc (playing Nancy Cross) or Chris William Martin (playing Rick Palmer), I will say that the definitely performed well and added nicely to the overall feel of the movie.

If you enjoy mystery thrillers, then "Look Again" is definitely well-worth taking the time to sit down and watch. I was certainly adequately entertained. Sure, there were plot holes throughout the movie, but nothing to the extend where it ruined the flow of the story.

My rating of "Look Again" lands on a six out of ten stars.
