The Advent Calendar starts out well enough when paraplegic woman receives a wooden Advent calendar with mysterious powers. Every day of Advent, she opens a small door and must eat a chocolate. In order to recover and walk again, she must be willing to sacrifice the lives of others. The concept is a good one but in the end the story becomes a confused mess. It could have been a contender.
