Aladdin (1986)

Warning: Spoilers
A typical Italian comedy, shot in Florida like so many of the other Spencer/Hill movies by Bruno Corbucci, no less. This one loosely reinvents the Arabian story with Spencer as a larger-than-life genie who grants many wishes and at the same time ends up fighting with the usual gangster goons. Some of the material smacks of padding - the waterski competition for example - but elsewhere Spencer's droll delivery and the cheesy-but-fun FX work in this film's favour.
