Even though this is all before my time, I can pretty much see--and hear--these ancient pendants' point, just by viewing--and listening to--such primary source material as JUST MICKEY, FIDDLING AROUND, A CRYING SHAME and THE BARNYARD CONCERT. Even if the soundtracks for these cacophonous cartoons fall short of fingernails on blackboards, it's not by much. At the very least, they evoke cat claws on a whiteboard. It's not a pleasant--or tuneful--experience.
