DePalma lite......
23 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Copenhagen police officer Christian seeks justice for his partner's murder by an ISIS member named Imran.

On the hunt for the killer, Christian and a fellow cop become caught in a cat and mouse chase with a duplicitous CIA agent who is using Imran as a pawn to trap other ISIS members.

Soon, Christian is racing against the clock -- not only seeking revenge, but to also save his own life.

I honestly only watched this film because it was by DePalma, and i will watch anything the man makes. This is by far his worst film along with Mission To Mars, but that snot saying it isn't enjoyable.

It does sometimes hint at that DePalma genius, but then it makes you yearn for his earlier, better films.

The plot really doesn't make any sense, and we are just treated to plot hole after gaping plot hole, and after a while it becomes almost ludicrous, but something keeps you watching until the very end. Pearce plays a wonderful Pantmime villain, and as for the lead, he's so forgettable, that i cannot even recall his name.

If you are a DePalma completist, you'll watch this regardless of the criticism, as i did, and although it's not brilliant, there are worse ways to spend two hours.
