It was a pleasant sight to see Reese Witherspoon delve into more serious roles, and deliver. Her portrayal of Cheryl Strayed's story was superb, believable and enticing. Visually, she is stripped down and looks the part of a 1,100 mile hiker. As for screenplay, much deserved props for the fluid and natural transition between her perilous walkathon, and the events that led her there. Wild succesfully tells an emotional story through great acting and directing, to the likes of Into The Wild and 127 Hours.
