This film sets out exactly what it's meant to do. Some will say it's trying to be too clever, some won't get it and some say it's too obvious.
I enjoyed this film but I particularly enjoyed (and still enjoy) the discussion with friends after viewing.
I would say go in with an open mind. Every set piece, dialogue, image etc, I think, is deliberate and has meaning. Although your perception may vary from mine but I think that's the beauty of it.
Not Garland's strongest but will be widely misunderstood and judged because of the ending and the choices he made. Personally I liked the ending, it generated a lot of interesting discussion regarding what it could have meant.
