Snooze fest

Joaquin Phoenix stars as an emotionally closed off uncle who's nephew is left in his care when his sister has to leave him to help out her mentally unstable ex-husband. His nephew is precocious but very hyper with no filter (as usual with children) and no apparent boundaries. His nephew is also dealing with the trauma of seeing his father in the throes of his mental condition. The majority of the film is the two interacting and talking about how they were feeling. In the process, it kind of forces his Uncle to open up emotionally. It didn't help that I found the character of the kid very unlikeable😆 Maybe if you would like to hear about how people are feeling for two straight hours you will like this movie. I found it boring. The only compelling part of the movie I found interesting was the uncle's job of interviewing children to find out their thoughts on the future and the world. Now that was interesting!!!
