"Tender!"
19 July 2022
I've always adore Disney's Recess on Saturdays and finally a movie. I could consider it more than "Taking on Fifth Grade" and those other two movies which mostly consist of flashbacks from the series, one TJ's gang caught by kindergartners, and other one Principal Prickly, Miss Grotke and Finster caught in snowdrift.

The main antagonist trying to destroy summer vacation is Phil Benedict - plus he's got lack of common sense if changing the moon's position to make a permanent winter endangering billions of lives, so it could raise school test scores?! Sounds ridiculously bizarre!

Some trivia points like: At one point in the movie, Miss Finster yells out "HEY, Teacher! Leave them kids alone!". That is a line from, and a direct reference to, the 1979 hit "Another Brick In The Wall Part 2" by Pink Floyd and later done by KoRn.

"Philliam Benedict" is a play on William Bennett, who was Secretary of Education during the Reagan administration.

James Woods' second Disney film, after Hercules (1997). I also remember him in Stuart Little 2, voicing title character's archenemy: Falcon.
