Lots of action, stunts and archetypical Jackie Chan fun...
25 July 2022
The 1991 Hong Kong action comedy "Fei Ying Gai Wak" (aka "Operation Condor") is an enjoyable Jackie Chan action comedy. Of course it is, as if there would be any doubt about that.

The storyline told in "Fei Ying Gai Wak" is pretty straight forward, although a bit simplistic actually. But the lack of a more intricate and complex storyline is more than made up for in sheer action, stunts and the archetypical Jackie Chan stunts galore.

If you enjoy the classic Jackie Chan style of movies then "Fei Ying Gai Wak" is definitely well worth taking the time to sit down and watch, as it is a fast-paced and over-the-top stunts fest. And I have to admit that I am amazed with the skill of Jackie Chan as he continues to impress with his feats movie after movie.

"Fei Ying Gai Wak" has a good cast ensemble which includes Jackie Chan, of course, but also has the likes of Carol 'Do Do' Cheng and Ken Lo on the cast list.

I happened to watch the original Cantonese version, and I am just perplexed why they opt to dub the English speaking actors and actresses into Cantonese. It is just cringeworthy to witness and listen to, especially since I abhor dubbed movies.

This is definitely a true Jackie Chan classic, and if you haven't already seen "Fei Ying Gai Wak", and get the chance to do so, you definitely should.

My rating of "Fei Ying Gai Wak" lands on a six out of ten stars.
