Varudu kaavalenu is a decent romantic comedy and it knows that. The plot is undeniably predictable and has been done before. But what really works for me here is the female lead character, who has a distinct personality, and is portrayed as self-reliant and hardworking, which is rare in these flicks where it's the female characters who are throwing themselves at the male lead. I'm not fully invested in their romance though or the story for that matter but i thought the film does well in terms of showcasing the both the characters flaws. The acting is decent. The film is visual pleasing which is a plus. Overall, a good enough romantic comedy to pass the time.
