Say a Little Prayer
18 September 2022
It's not very often that the main protagonist in a film is also the villain. Though painful to watch in certain moments, My Best Friend's Wedding takes the rom-com genre and tweaks with the formula. The story takes quick turns and the finale is tender in unexpected ways.

Bouncing from awkward moments to foolish antics, the redeeming factor in this film is Rupert Everett's George. He is easily the best character, mostly because he is the voice of the audience. He says what the viewer is thinking and is the clear voice of reason.

With highly memorable moments ("Say a Little Prayer" and the "phone call speech" to name a few), this film is a fun look in what it would take to break up a wedding.
