I see the glowing reviews from others and confess I'm puzzled by them. I'd start by saying I LOVE the story, the costumes and the idea of sword fights and daring-do. They're every boy's dream! But in a way, that's the problem--the acting, "love scenes", fight choreography, reactions to injury of this production look like something done by a high school drama department. It's awkward, heavy on sweeping hand gestures and eye-rolling rather than on nuanced, subtle human emotion. Certainly everyone has a right to their own opinion. I'm glad others enjoyed this production. I just didn't. Not recommended.
