Cry 'Havoc' (1943)
6/10
wartime film
18 October 2022
A group of female volunteers arrives at a hospital in Bataan during World War II. It's a hot busy place. The war gets worse. The bombings get worse. The injured keeps coming. They are getting cut off.

The girls all blend together. I'm not really invested in any one individual character. Their hair is all done up even when they are supposedly dirty and sweaty. The men are mostly background actors. Even the male doctors are barely characters. This is an interesting idea, but it's not that compelling as a movie. It was topical when it was first released. It's a patriotic film in the time of war.
