In veteran director Stephan Frears' gently engaging true-tale Brit drama "The Lost King" Sally Hawkins (great as ever) is a nondescript, middle-aged, middle-class divorcee mum who believing 1400's King Richard III to have been unfairly maligned by history (and Shakespear) campaigns to clear his name AND find his missing remains, which she did, in Leicester in 2012 (supported by the likes of Stephen Coogan (who btw co-wrote it with Jeff Pope) & Harry Lloyd). Sadly, local uni pigs like Mark Addy & Lee Ingleby (deliciously odious performances both) then steal her credit (which they now dispute btw) but hey, this movie puts that all right, right?
