In a season of useless red herrings, the writing staff actually came up with some that contributed to the plot this time.
In an upcoming election, politicians are being blackmailed left and right, and with phony information lathered on to relatively innocent situations.
The big surprise is Sergeant Enright retiring from the force to take a job as a private investigator ... an easy dodge to figure out since we know he's around for the rest of the series. :-)
There's a lot of cat and mouse with the big PI firm he takes a job with, and not so many suspects paraded before the viewers as in some of these episodes. The conclusion is a bit surprising, and a bit over the top. LOL.
