POSITIVES:
1) Annette Benning and Jodie Foster are both sensational and Oscar worthy here. Benning's performance is much more about her physicality whilst Foster is able to add so much emotion into the role on Bonnie 2) The film is certainly motivational and inspirational. You want Diana to succeed and I actually welled up a bit when she finally pulls it off and arrives in Florida 3) The film has a couple of really good moments of tension when Diana is in the water and things go wrong; I wish there were more of these moments throughout
NEGATIVES:
1) The film just feels a bit flat at times. There were plenty of times where I wasn't really engaged with what was happening 2) Diana is almost too unlikeable at times and I struggled to see why so many people would stay by her side after so many years of failed attempts and Diana being difficult 3) All of the characters apart from the two leads feel very forgettable and are given no real character development.
