Warning: Spoilers
I actually remember the episode of 'That's Life' in 1988, where Esther Rantzen asked everybody in the audience: Who here owes their life to Nicholas Winton,? Then please stand up.

The whole audience standing, was very very moving then, on TV and it's equally powerful when recreated in this film.

The story is, as part of volunteers, he and others, managed to get 669 children out of Czechoslovakia as the Nazis marched in.

It's a slow starting film, but builds to the very moving finale.

Anthony Hopkins is just brilliant playing Winton.

Well worth a watch as it is a true story (not Hollywood writing history)

Also thought provoking is that 48 years after the start of WW2 and there was Winton in our 'modern world' on TV in 'That's Life'. How could such terrible events be within one persons life time ?

Then you look at the wars going on in world today and realise, with all our civilization and technology, barbarity is always lurking nearby,
