The series was great, however the random details they changed from the book were annoying. For example, why change the story of how Six-Thirty got his name and that Elizabeth found him so they could be a family? The beauty pageant at Hastings that never existed in the book? How Calvin died? The neighbor across the street being a civil rights activist lawyer instead of a nosey old lady? It could have been done much better and the changes weren't significant to the plot line to make it more intriguing.
I found it entertaining and think someone who hasn't read the book wouldn't mind the differences.
