Binge watched a lot of the episodes, and the story lines are generally good. Tompkinson is just excellent as Banks and ably supported by the rest of the cast.
Yes there are things you question e.g. The absurdity of Banks being left in charge, even when it's his daughter who's been kidnapped.
Yes there are minor flaws, in what are good storylines, where we are kept in taut suspense for each episode, each with satisfying finales.
Very consistent high standard of both story and acting, for each episode and thoroughly recommended if you like the genre, although slightly dated now.
One of those series like prime suspect, a touch of frost etc that you can rewatch.
